Remembering Mary-Wynne Ashford

International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War Canada is very sad to announce the passing of Mary-Wynne Ashford, MD, PhD, Co-President of International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War (IPPNW) from 1998-2002 and central part of the IPPNWC team. Mary-Wynne was a dedicated mother, sister, grandmother, friend, mentor, humanitarian, doctor, and Nobel Peace Laureate.

Many friends, colleagues and admirers of Mary-Wynne’s work have written numerous pieces about her incredible work. For decades, Dr. Ashford was a pivotal leader in the peace movement, and an inspiration to many.
